The Process is Clear and Collaborative.

The Process

We work with our clients to develop a broad-based financial plan that explores all aspects of their financial life that are jointly identified and explored.  This involves three or four meetings over a three to four month period, as well as additional support through scheduled meetings and availability once our primary planning work is completed.

Our first meeting is a robust discussion on life goals and how money supports them, which sets the tone for the rest of our work. This free-flowing discussion continues during our work together. As well, we have a “Get Organized” review of relevant financial documents. For clients that are overwhelmed with initially gathering documents, I help to prioritize what is essential for our work together.

During our remaining meetings, I provide preliminary feedback on goals and how to best achieve them, as well as initial thoughts on estate, insurance and tax integration. We also have a thorough discussion of client risk tolerance and the appropriateness of various investment choices. We ultimately focus on a detailed review of specific client recommendations and your completed financial plan. This begins a support period where you can call to discuss any aspects of plan implementation…large or small!

Broad-Based Plans

Broad-based financial plans are priced from $3000 to $6000 depending on the complexity of your household, financial holdings and goals. This is a stand-alone plan that provides education, insight and detailed recommendations for immediate action, as well as implementation assistance. All plans are competitively priced after our initial discussion, with 30-50% of the fee required prior to starting work and the balance due upon completion and delivery of the completed plan. Your plan includes:

  • Meeting summaries that detail your goals, your net worth and cash flow and significant short-term action items.

  • A detailed list of items to implement. It is very specific in defining implementation items for you to begin and sustain a better financial path.

  • Discussion and support material for each relevant topic and goal that we have covered in our planning sessions that provides you additional context and depth.

Our ideal client profile includes a household income of $150,000 to $500,000+ with typical assets, but our habits-based approach will work for households of almost any income or net worth. There are not minimum asset amount or income levels in order to work with Hermosa Advisors. We believe that financial planning should be available to everyone.

At the completion of your comprehensive plan, you can opt for ongoing advisement, which ranges from $200 - $400 per month. This provides both scheduled consults as well as impromptu availability to rebalance your portfolio, calm market jitters, discuss new tax and retirement laws, or whatever is on your mind. Additionally, you will have access to our powerful financial management platform, providing a unified look at all of your financial accounts and ongoing feedback on progress toward your goals.

Hourly Advisement on Specific Issues

Targeted consultation on specific issues is provided at $300 per hour. This approach is beneficial for clients that need advice and insight on a specific issue. Our “Advice Only” approach is well-suited for a second opinion on your current approach. While I don’t have strict minimums, it is tough to accomplish much for less than $1000 due to the realistic time needed for meetings and analysis.
